The Mitchell Scholarship

The Mitchell Scholars joined Trina for a visit to Cork over the weekend. On Saturday, the group visited the Cork City Gaol, had lunch at the English Market, visited Saint Fin Barre’s Cathedral, and took in the view of the city from Elizabeth Fort. That evening, they were the guests of Cork band, True Tides, as they performed at City Hall with the Cork Youth Orchestra. True Tides performed at the US-Ireland Alliance’s Oscar Wilde Awards in March. At the gig, the Scholars met Taoiseach Micheál Martin who, coincidentally, was the Minister of Enterprise and attended the very first Oscar Wilde Awards in 2006.  Sunday was spent in Kinsale and walking to Charles Fort. For more pics, see Trina’s Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/trinavargo/
