Mary Steenburgen and Reinaldo Marcus Green will join Andrew Garfield as presenters at the US-Ireland Alliance’s annual Oscar Wilde Awards. The event will be held on 24 March at the Ebell of Los Angeles.
Academy Award and Golden Globe winning actress, Mary Steenburgen, will present Adam McKay with his Oscar Wilde Award. Steenburgen is a Hollywood veteran, having appeared in countless roles on the big and small screen, including McKay’s “Step Brothers”. Steenburgen is known for her Oscar winning work in “Melvin and Howard” in addition to unforgettable roles in “What’s Eating Gilbert Grape,” “Book Club,” and television shows such as NBC’s “Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist,” FOX’s critically acclaimed comedy series “The Last Man on Earth,” FX’s “Justified,” Netflix’s “Orange is the New Black,” HBO’s “Togetherness” and HBO’s “Curb Your Enthusiasm.” Most recently, Steenburgen had a pivotal role in Guillermo del Toro's award-winning film, “Nightmare Alley.”
Reinaldo Marcus Green will present the Wilde Card Award to up and coming Irish actor Dónall Ó Héalai. Green has been honored with the Breakout Director Award from the African-American Film Critics Association for his work on King Richard, which earned 6 Academy Award nominations including Best Picture. He previously directed all 6 episodes of the forthcoming HBO limited series WE OWN THIS CITY, written by George Pelecanos and David Simon.
It was previously announced that Andrew Garfield, Academy Award nominee for Best Actor for his role in Lin-Manuel Miranda’s TICK, TICK,… BOOM!, will present Jamie Dornan with his award.
J.J. Abrams will emcee. Irish performers Loah & Bantum, and the band True Tides will perform on the night.
